This place defines modern and twisted Indian cuisine. One of the fancier and sophisticated Indian restaurants that I have been to. The food is truly exceptional, packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The interior is very nice and they have a DJ that plays at night. An overall great addition to old town Pasadena. Would highly recommend trying it out.
My boyfriend and I stopped by Chak de California on a whim and we’re so glad we did! The restaurant is decorated so beautifully and our server, Shubh, was absolutely the best. He was super friendly and happy to give us recommendations and answer any questions we had (my boyfriend has a dairy allergy). We really liked the samosas (with the green sauce!), the chicken tikka masala (so creamy and they get the sauce and chicken ratio just right), and the garlic naan. We liked it so much, we actually came back the following week. Highly recommend supporting this local business!
This place caught my wife and I totally off guard. Best Indian food we’ve had in the states. We ended up ordering a weeks worth of food, it was so good — we got the chicken korma, paneer, and chicken tikka masala, with sides of roti and garlic cheese naan. The naan in particular was a standout, I didn’t want to dip it in anything because it tasted so good on its own. Interior was also delightful, they didn’t skimp on materials.
